Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi this evening in Delhi. Naidu will depart from Hyderabad around 1:30 PM. The TDP leader is also scheduled to meet Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw later.

In addition, he is expected to hold discussions with Union Ministers Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, and Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday. During his meeting with Modi, Naidu will likely address issues concerning funding for the recent floods in Andhra Pradesh, the establishment of a Railway Zone in Visakhapatnam, and the merger of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd with SAIL Ltd.

Naidu may also bring up the topic of a World Bank loan for the construction of the capital city, Amaravati, as noted by the TDP mouthpiece, Chaitanya Ratham. The TDP currently supports the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre with 16 MLAs.

Additionally, state Home Minister V. Anitha will attend a review meeting led by Shah with Chief Ministers from Left-Wing Extremism-affected states in Delhi. Anitha has indicated that the Andhra government is seeking Rs 295 crore from the Centre to establish its own Greyhounds Training Centre, which is crucial for combating the growing Maoist threat in the region. The original Greyhounds Training Centre remains in Telangana following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

This visit is not Naidu's first since the formation of the Modi government 3.0; he previously travelled to Delhi in August, shortly after the Union Budget was passed, where he discussed the Polavaram irrigation project, the development of Amaravati, and improvements in air connectivity in Andhra Pradesh.
